We’re taking fashion off the catwalks and bringing it directly into the palm of your hand by creating fashion shows that are accessible to everyone in a totally unique and exciting way. Our latest fashion campaign, Zap It Unzip It is a virtual fashion show created entirely in a green screen photo studio for Churchill Square, Brighton using the very latest in Augmented Reality (AR) technology, a first for UK shopping centres. To see the shows spring to life on their smart phones customers simply download the free Zappar app and scan the codes found in locations all over Brighton, in local media, and online. There are four unique shows featuring the latest spring fashions from Churchill Square retailers along with pricing information and where to buy. For added fun the technology allows customers to take Churchill Square branded selfies and share them online via social media. Zap It Unzip It launched last week and will run throughout April so there’s plenty of opportunity to get in on the action.
Our shows are known to be innovative and technology is everywhere in fashion right now so it seemed like the next logical step for us to try and incorporate it into our live events. Wearable tech is a hot topic, Fendi recently sent drones down the catwalk to live stream their collection direct to the fans via their website, so with almost all retail centres Wi-Fi connected these days we can really get creative. Augmented Reality can literally turn anything into TV channel or a game, our Zap It Unzip campaign adds a whole new level of interactive fun to fashion shows but the possibilities are virtually endless and really exciting to think about.
